At VRAC, our mission is to meet our customers’ expectation of privacy. As financial service professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treating customer information responsibly. Our Customer Information Privacy Policy serves as a standard for all Viking team members for collection, use, retention and security of individual customer information.
VRAC collects nonpublic personal information about customers and consumers from the following sources or categories:
» Information received on applications or other forms, including those for loans, deposit accounts, debit and credit cards, and safe deposit boxes (your name, address, social security number, assets and income);
» Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (your account balance, payment history, parties to the transaction, and credit card usage); and
» Information received from credit reporting agencies (your credit worthiness and credit history).
All information collected on loan applications is pertinent and necessary to establish credit worthiness in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and for the collection of the loan. All information collected for depository accounts are pertinent and necessary to establish such accounts. Our use of information obtained from credit reporting agencies complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Internet transactions and e-mail communications are collected for the purpose of executing customer transaction requests and replying to customer inquiries, and are not used for any other purposes
VRAC does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about its customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.
As permitted by law, it is necessary to disclose information about customers to companies that administer account servicing or processing for customers on behalf of VRAC. Outside companies that we use to help service your accounts are held to the same standard of care for your privacy as our team members. VRAC is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.
At Viking, team member access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Team members are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on these privacy principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all Viking team members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and team members who violate these privacy policies will be subject to disciplinary measures.
VRAC complies with all applicable federal and state guidelines establishing standards for safeguarding customer information. Viking’s Information Security Program is designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information; protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security of integrity of such information, and; protect against unauthorized access to or use of such information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to the customer.
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us and we will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
